Quick Notes: These Garlic Butter Green Beans go best as a side for a meat-focused entree. It’s a quick easy way to mix up your veggies. This recipe is SUPER garlic-y, which is how I like them. If you’re less into garlic (cretin) then you can always cut back a bit.
Ingredients
- Four big handfuls of green beans, ends snapped (Super specific measurements, I know)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- salt, preferably sea salt or coarse ground
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring enough water to cover the green beans to a boil.Â
- Throw the beans in the pot and boil them for about five minutes. I would test one at about four minutes to how close to your liking they are. Drain the beans and return them to the pot.Â
- Turn the heat down on the pot, and toss in the butter. Stir to melt.Â
- Once the butter is completely melted, add the garlic. Cook the beans in the garlic-y butter goodness for about 2-3 minutes.Â
- Remove from heat and salt aggressively. Let them sit and cool for a minute or two before serving.Â
