Quick Notes: This is another recipe by the lovely Erika Bruner. She bakes all the freaking time, so I assume these Grandma’s Pecan Bars are delicious although I cannot be credited with either the photo or the recipe itself.
Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup salted butter softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- FILLING
- 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together crust ingredients in a food processor until well incorporated.

Press the crust ingredients into a 9x13 oven-safe casserole dish.Â

Bake the crust in a preheated oven for 18-22 minutes or until lightly browned.

Meanwhile, mix all remaining ingredients except for the pecans in a food processor until well combined.Â

Stir in pecans.

Pour the contents of the food processor on top of the hot crust.

Return the pan to the oven and bake for additional 30-35 minutes or until semi-firm in middle. (it will firm up in cooling).
